SkyseekerLabs fixes the computers you depend on.
It's me, Lillian, with an LLC so the paperwork is clean. I set up Linux and NixOS machines that stay working, build backups that have actually been restored, and help families and small offices with the IT they keep putting off.
NixOS and Linux machines
Declarative configs for desktops and servers, from one laptop to a small fleet, with the reasons written down so you can maintain it after me.
Backups that get tested
ZFS snapshots, off-site replication, and a restore drill on a schedule, so the first restore isn't during the emergency.
Self-hosting and homelabs
Media servers, photo libraries and file shares that you own, reachable from outside without opening your house to the internet.
Family and small-office IT
Setups, repairs, the printer, the Wi-Fi, and a short note afterwards that says what I changed.
How it goes
- You email me what's wrong or what you want.
- A short call to scope it, free.
- A fixed price for defined jobs, hourly for the open-ended ones.
- I hand over with written notes. You own everything.
Pricing
Most small jobs land between $[x] and $[y]. Fleet and backup setups are quoted after the call.
Not my thing
- Watching your employees.
- Anything I'd have to keep secret from the people it affects.
- (Your list here.)
